In the June 9th Township minutes, it was reported that the Township was notifying the Federation of Canandian Municipalities (FCM) of our local participation in the Partners for Climate Protection (PCP) program and our Townships commitment to achieve the milestones set in the PCP five-milestone framework. Carol Dwyer was appointed as the Corporate Staffperson and Pat Norris was appointed as the Elected Official to oversee implementation of these milestones. This initiative helps make the Township eligible for low interest loans and grants under the FCM's Green Municipal Fund. Funding includes grants for up to 50% of costs to a maximum of $350,000.
