NEWS ALERT: HIRA has been advised by Paul Charbonneau, Director of Emergency and Transportation Services/Chief of Paramedic Services, Frontenac County, that the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario (MTO) has notified the County that the Frontenac-Howe Islander will be removed from the water this fall for a mandatory Transport Canada inspection.

Paul will be working with both the MTO, Transport Canada and the Township to determine the timing of its removal and the contingency plans while it is not in service.  Paul will keep HIRA informed and in turn, news alerts will be sent to members and will be posted on our website in a timely manner.
